Plywood Visionaries

STATEMENT:
To some, skateboarding is considered just a sport, but to those involved, it is more than that. Skateboarding is a total lifestyle choice. This show is meant to highlight that fact through the use of innovative, artistic methods, including deck design in order to show the full potential of what appears to most as just a board with wheels. All works submitted should use the idea of the skateboard and it’s hardware as a medium for full artistic expression in an innovative and creative way. Open to all disciplines except video and multimedia entries.

REQUIREMENTS:
1. Works should not exceed 3 feet (36 inches) in any direction (single longboards are an exception) .
2. Limit 3 entries per Designer/Artist.
3. Works should be gallery/show ready. Wire hangers prefered, no clip frames or saw tooth hangers.
4. Specific display requirements should be typed and included with works submitted.
5. Those Installing reserve the right to install works in a way that suit the exhibition, or for the safety of the work and the viewer.
6. Works must be submitted as a .JPG image on a
CD ROM, and the file must be named as such: “lastname_number of piece”. 3D work must include a full view, and a detail view. All images must be atleast 300 dpi, and no larger than 8”x10” In addition, a completed entry form must accompany all submissions.
