The Infernal Method

An art form whose roots lie in the notion of spreading ideas to the masses, and now accrediting to its more alternative approach to the art world, printmaking is on a contemporary resurgence.
Inspired by the esoteric symbolism of William Blake, THE INFERNAL METHOD is an exhibition showcasing a body of work by printmakers from across the United States that rely on the use of symbolism. Each piece selected has been chosen for its indistinct mystical representation. Some obscure and some direct, the viewer is invited to engage in the inspirations and admiration of this classic media.
Art Dimensions in honored to invite you to share in the gathering of works from these established and cutting edge artists the evening of September 30th. Accompanying the event will be live printing, prints for sale, and a very special in-gallery performance by local metal sensations Fister and RFT award winning best metal act, The Lion’s Daughter.
THE INFERNAL METHOD exhibition will be held at Art Dimensions Gallery Sept 30th. Opening begins at 6pm and runs until 1am with live music at 9pm. The exhibition will run until October 17th. Art Dimensions is located at 2720 Cherokee St. Saint Louis, Mo. 63118.

FRESH: a print show
FRESH will exhibit during the Southern Graphics Conference in St. Louis during March of 2011. It will be held at ArtD Gallery & Studios @ 2720. There will be a juried exhibition, a gallery of prints from a print exchange, live printing and music.

Theme & Process: FRESH is an exhibition opportunity for works that are under no specific theme but must use printmaking processes. Entries are not limited to flat work, but 3-D works and book forms can also be submitted. Processes may include, but are not limited to, letterpress, woodcut, monoprint, silkscreen, etching, engraving, digital or lithography.

Eligibility: The exhibition is open to artists nationwide, 18 and older.
Works must have been created within the past two years.

ArtDimensions & Earthdance Farms Present: Seeing Green
Seeing Green is an exhibit of artwork inspired by sustainability. David Langley our featured artist is the quinquennial sustainable artist. Whether using found object or bits of recycled paper and images the pieces displayed in this exhibition all bring new life to the idea of recycling. Starting Friday night we’ll have live art, cooking demos, a recycled fashion show, and live music. Saturday afternoon’s market starts at 2 o’clock with a tai chi lesson, North City Farmers’ Market & 13th Street Community Garden will be vending fresh produce and plants. There will be sustainable jewelry makers, henna tattoos, fresh dairy cheeses, seeds, flowers, and much more. Saturday nights reception follows with more local music, more live art, and another fashion show.
